We offer small number of paid singing positions in the BPC each season. These paid singers make up our “professional core.” Our professional core members serve as musical leaders of the ensemble, are required to always be prepared on music, serve as advisors to the Music Director and Accompanist, and prove notes and guidance to all members of the BPC.
All professional core members must re-audition every year and anyone can sign up for a professional core audition. Professional core auditions require more rigorous preparation than our general membership auditions and are much more selective. If you choose to complete a professional core audition, you will also be considered for general or returning membership.
Requirements for a Professional Core Audition
When you arrive at your audition, you will be asked to fill out a short form with personal and musical information. If you would prefer to fill that out ahead of time and bring it to the audition, you can find the form below. For a professional core audition, you will also be required to bring a performing and/or music teaching resume and a headshot.
Expect your audition to last about 10 minutes. Music Director Adam Luebke and an accompanist will be present to guide you through the audition requirements:
