BPC High School Aspiring Voices Program
The BPC has continued to support arts education in the WNY community through our High School Aspiring Voices program, formerly known as Choral Affiliates. During most seasons, the BPC invites WNY high school music teachers to recommend two of their best vocal students to join our singers for a performance at Kleinhans Music Hall with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Student nominations are reviewed, and once accepted, the students are paired with a current member to serve as their mentor throughout the rehearsal as and performance.
This year’s “Voices” will enjoy the opportunity to perform Mozart’s “Coronation Mass” with the BPChorus and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of JoAnn Falletta, on stage at Kleinhans Music Hall, January 28 and 29, 2023.
Are you a high school teacher interested in nominating two of your outstanding students? Visit this link for all of the information and fill out this form to submit the information. Please reach out to email@example.com if you have any questions or for more information!
Past High School Affiliate Program performances have included:
William Walton’s Belshazzar’s Feast conducted by JoAnn Falletta, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana conducted by JoAnn Falletta, and most recently, the BPO’s Memorial Day concert, An American Salute, conducted by John Morris Russell.
