The Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus
(Buffalo, NY) - The Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus (BPC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Eli Campbell to the role of Executive Director. He brings to the role a wealth of experience ranging from arts administration to that of a performer.
Mr. Campbell earned a music degree with honors in oboe performance from Penn State University where he was an active member of the Penn State Men’s Glee Club, serving as Treasurer and President.
After University he worked in programming and event coordination at Hill Center in Washington, DC followed by a role in marketing and event coordination at the Eastman Community Music School. While in Rochester, he earned a Master of Arts Degree in Music Leadership from the Eastman School of Music and sang with the Eastman Rochester Chorus. Upon completing his Graduate Studies in 2021, Eli took on the role of Special Events Coordinator with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and became the Annual Fund and Grants Manager in 2022.
Additionally, Mr. Campbell is a singing member of the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus (January 2022) and served on the Board of Directors from 2023- 2024. Since his time with the BPC as a singing member, Mr. Campbell was instrumental in coordinating a matching gift fund-raising campaign in honor of Maestro Falletta’s 25th Anniversary Season.
“Mr. Campbell joins the BPC at a time of change and growth. We are all excited about expanding opportunities for the BPC locally and beyond and with our growing educational and community efforts,” noted Stephen B. Edge, MD, and President and Board Chair for the BPC . “In his work he will lead this strategic growth, coordinate fundraising and resources, and oversee our operations.”
His appointment as Executive Director of the BPC officially begins January 1, 2025.
