Eli Campbell is an arts administrator, choral singer, and oboist. He earned a music degree with honors in oboe performance from Penn State University where he was an active member of the Penn State Men's Glee Club, serving as Treasurer and President. After University he worked in programming and event coordination at Hill Center in Washington, DC followed by a role in marketing and event coordination at the Eastman Community Music School. While in Rochester, he earned a Master of Arts Degree in Music Leadership from the Eastman School of Music and sang with the Eastman Rochester Chorus. Upon completing his Graduate Studies in 2021, Eli took on the role of Special Events Coordinator with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and became the Annual Fund and Grants Manager in 2022.
Since joining the BPO, Eli has coordinated donor events and executed successful fundraising campaigns including a donor matching challenge in honor of JoAnn Falletta’s 25th Anniversary Season. He has also come to love the WNY community through social and professional participation. With the Association of Fundraising Professionals, WNY he has worked with the National Philanthropy Day Committee, serving as Event Chair in 2024. He is actively involved in Westminster Presbyterian Church and volunteers with Explore Buffalo. Other nonprofit service includes work as Vice President of the board of the Amos Lemon Burkhart Foundation, dedicated to
promoting his cousin's visual art and leveraging his legacy to help teens Stay Alive and Make Art™.
Eli has been a singing member of the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus since January 2022 and served on the Board of Directors from 2023-2024. He begins his role as the BPC’s second Executive Director in January 2025.
In his words: I am thrilled to join the leadership of the Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus alongside Music Director, Dr. Adam Luebke and the passionate Board of Directors. The chorus has become important to me personally since moving to Buffalo, introducing me to friends and bringing me wholeheartedly into this community. It’s an honor for me to have an opportunity to put my professional skills and passion behind the efforts of Buffalo’s leading choral ensemble.
